Another UX conference

The next User Experience Toledo Region conference featuring Rosenfeld Media virtual speakers (our 5th!) will be October 11th at the soon-to-be-open King Road Branch Library in Sylvania.

The theme is User Research for Everyone. Virtual speakers such as Leah Buley, Steve Krug, Nate Bolt, and Abby Covert will be talking about how to do effective research that leads to products and services that people want to use, buy, and recommend to others.

It is also a local conference: hang out with your peers at design agencies, colleagues with area companies, free-lancers and others. Get the benefits of top-notch professional development without getting on a plane (or even leaving the region).

Check out the conference web page for more information about the program, the special venue, and what to expect from the conference.

Individual tickets will go on sale in a week.

Sponsors are needed now. You company's support helps pay for the event, and you get a discount on tickets for your employees, clients or guests.

September happenings

Companies in the Toledo Region who employ people in Information Technology related roles, such as design agencies, are invited to join our local TechHire initiative. If we get designated as a "TechHire community" by the the White House, we will start finding people who need jobs, help them get accelerated training in IT skills, then match them with local employers for entry-level jobs and internships. Learn more.
